While on an average the Villa di Capezzana is aged for about 2 yrs, first in French barriques and tonneaux and then in bottles, starting 2006 vintage, the producer started keeping aside a small selection, about 500 cases, to be released on the 10th anniversary of the vintage. Those who were lucky enough to lay hands on the 2006 10th anniversary edition should look back and pat themselves on the back for being among the few to get a piece of this extremely rare wine bottles. 2010 10th anniversary bottles that have just landed are sublime. Coming from a recent super star vitnage, the 10th anni treatment has made the wine earn even more glowing accolades.
It's a real privilege for us to have the opportunity to have these 10th anniversary bottles in our portfolio for our customers. It's an absolutely glorious bottle which is proudly justifying its illustrious legacy.
Tasting notes & Reviews
"A rich, juicy Carmignano now with full body, chewy tannins and hints of black truffles and black olives to the cherries. It’s full-bodied and intense. Ready now, if a little overly tannic. Nice wine with age. Drink now." 94/100 James Suckling, Aug 2020
